Isa 54:17b No weapon that is forged against you will be effective. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their righteousness from me,” says the LORD.
This Bible verse states very clearly that there will be weapons forged against the Lord’s servants. There are certainly fights, attacks and battles. A soldier has to fight and win. When you stand in the battlefield, fully clothed with the armour of God no weapon forged against you will be effective.
In “The Army of Jesus” every soldier is a Lord’s servant, recruited to engage himself in war against the enemy, satan.
Just like the nation Israel has various defence systems like Iron Dome, Mamads (safe rooms) designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets, artillery shells which safeguard them from the attacks that come from outside, a servant of God, who is engaging himself in warfare with the enemy will be covered on all sides and the weapons forged against him will be ineffective.
Safe Rooms (Mamads) are specially designed rooms that provide protection against missile attacks. These rooms are built to withstand external explosions and can significantly reduce the risk of injury.
The enemy will try to attack you from any angle, any time to steal your graces, to disqualify you or to spoil your testimony.
If you are protected, the weapons will go ineffective. How to know if you are inside the protective systems (Iron dome or mamad) or not?
Let’s listen to the testimony of one of the AOJ soldiers in Chennai.
I have been serving as a Gift School Coordinator for around 8 years. From the time I took on this responsibility, it felt as though the Ark of the Covenant entered into my life and home—just like it did in the house of Obed-Edom. From then on, the Lord began to bless my family, my workplace, and every area of my life.
At work, God’s favor was evident. I was honored and exalted, much like Joseph. Decision-making authority was entrusted to me, and all the department heads would seek my guidance. Whatever I spoke carried weight and was final. I was also blessed in my family life and materially in many ways.
After several years of serving, I decided to hand over the Gift School and take on another challenging responsibility. But from that time, I began to see a decline at my workplace. Pressures increased, situations turned upside down, and work became a daily struggle.
Recently, I took back the role of Gift School Coordinator—and immediately, things began to change. New projects were entrusted to me, innovations flowed, and results came effortlessly.
When I am serving in the Gift School, even my office work gets streamlined and simplified. Truly, all glory belongs to God.
We learn a lesson from this. The protection, promotion, prosperity, graces, and all other blessings a soldier receive in his life is directly in proportion with the responsibilities he takes up in AOJ and work for the Lord.
The responsibilities a soldier takes up in AOJ makes him grow in his gift, in serving others with the gift, and bring souls to His kingdom using the gift.
There are many ways you can serve the Lord by taking up a responsibility.
- Being an volunteer for BFF or a gift school (help in clerical works, kitchen, prayer warrior, technical works like operating sound system, computer, hall arrangement, typing, data entry, room arrangements for the participants, class room arrangements etc.
- Being a Coordinator for BFF or a gift school (one who coordinates as per the schedule)
- Being an organizer (One who organizes a gift school, BFF, )
- Being a teacher.
All the above have equal remunerations depending upon the sincerity and honesty with which one works.
One will have to start with the third category,
If a servant is true to his calling the Lord will promote you from the first to the second (Coordinator) or the 3rd (Organizer).
Finally comes the calling to the 4th (teacher). If anyone wants to come to the top level, in a shortcut way, they will not be strong to withstand the attacks of the enemy.
Righteousness is the quality of being morally right or justifiable.
The Lord justifies a servant who serves him.
In the year 2006 the Lord recommended that the full time ministry should be stopped . All the Lord’s servants should find a job, enter into the market place and should become a light there.
In 2013, He insisted that there should not be any full timer in ministry who expects money from the people for his livelihood.
In 2014, the Lord gave a 3rd warning to the Church and insisted that all the servants of God should find a job and get settled in a workplace. There is no full time ministry.
It is the duty of every AOJ soldier to be in some responsibility or other so that they will become eligible for Lord’s righteousness of protection, promotion and prosperity.
There are a few soldiers in AOJ who says,
“I can be a soldier in AOJ. I want to attend all the schools and get educated in the gifts. I want to get all the benefits out of being a soldier. But I won’t take any responsibility in AOJ”
We can imagine the reasons why they say like that.
“When we take responsibilities, we will have to mingle with others. I am not very sure about my mingling capacity with others, my patience, my ability to understand others etc. I may lose my temper, I may lose my image, I may not be able to cope up with others, I may not be able to work to the satisfaction of others etc. etc . I want to be safe in my own world! Why should I break it and run into risks?
But dear soldiers, in order to “Form others and yourself” you should run into risks. In order to gain souls, you have to mingle with others. We will have to lose our image sometimes, we will be misunderstood, we will be blamed for others’ mistakes, we will have to carry the luggage of others.
In soul winning, all these are inevitable and unavoidable.
A soldier is not only a soul winner but a fighter. We as soldiers have to seize the warrior’s plunder and captives of the tyrant satan. (Is 49:24)
Isa 49:25 But this is what the LORD says: “He will seize even the warriors’ plunder, and the captives of tyrants will be rescued.
Lk 17:3 says that you have to take risk in correcting others, exhorting others and training others.
Luk 17:3 “Watch yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
We should correct, edify, encourage, uplift, exhort, counsel, and admonish others so that they will be useful vessels for His Master. The Lord might appoint you in a responsible position to correct others, to uplift them and to encourage them. We should know how to correct others, how to point out the mistakes of others. The Lord will teach us the methods. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can do it easily without breaking the relationship with them. Even if they go away from you for short while, they will come back to you.
In AOJ every soldier is given a responsibility. The Lord is creating new portfolios everyday in AOJ as the number increases so that everyone can hold one responsibility or other.
If you sit idle without taking up any responsibility, enjoying all the benefits of a soldier, there is no difference between you and an institutional Church believer. The Lord has no obligation to provide us with protection and safety . We may fall and become a prey to the enemy.
